Donations

Woodford Greeners is a Constituted, Not-for-profit Voluntary Organisation and receives no regular funding from Redbridge Council or any other body. Consequently we're pretty good at upcycling scavenged finds & cast-offs, but we still have to buy soils, equipment, certain plants and many other items.
Which means we're really thankful for any help that comes our way - any donation however small, from £1 upwards is really appreciated.
You can donate securely and safely with credit or debit card using the SumUp link below and we will get your donation immediately and be very grateful. 🌱🌷🌻🍂

About

Woodford Greeners is a volunteer-led community gardening group based in....you guessed it...Woodford Green! We first came together in March 2022 when local neighbours found they had lots of unused flower and veggie seeds going to waste in their sheds. We arranged a free Seed Swap event at the James Leal Cafe in Ray Park and found a whole community of keen gardeners in the area. We all agreed that much of the community space in the neighbourhood was sorely neglected. Planters were full of litter and broken glass, fences and walls along the high street were falling down, weeds and nettles were taking over many of the green spaces around Snakes Lane East. So we decided to do something about it, and in our first 6 months we have grown to a 20+ strong army of eager gardening volunteers! We've already spruced up the planters along the high street, in front of Ray Lodge School and by the park cafe. We've also held a number of events including a free Seedling Swap, Composting and Willow Weaving workshops, a summer gardening club for under 5's at Orchard Children's Centre, as well as a fantastically popular Apple Press Day which had over 80 participants, including many local children. We have big dreams for this part of Redbridge which we love dearly, and are full energy to help them come to life! Will you help us?.
